ALIYAH PROGRAMS
Here’s your quick look at everything you need to know before making Aliyah—from programs to paperwork—so you can start your journey informed and ready.
The Jewish Agency for Israel offers a wide range of Aliyah programs. These include absorption centers, ulpanim, and practical assistance. Each program supports you during your move to Israel. In addition, you can view starting dates to plan your Aliyah more effectively. As a result, you begin your journey with confidence.
LOCATION
Before choosing where to live, speak with your shaliach, family, and friends. This way, you can decide which area of Israel suits your needs and lifestyle best.
ABSORPTION CENTERS
Many Olim choose to begin their Aliyah in a Jewish Agency absorption center. There, you live with other new immigrants and learn Hebrew. Moreover, it helps you adjust to life in Israel. Ask your shaliach which centers are best for you. You can also explore several centers online.
ULPAN
Olim receive subsidized Hebrew classes. Therefore, ask your shaliach about ulpan programs in your area. Choose a class that matches your level, your needs, and your preferred start date. This ensures a smoother beginning to your Aliyah.
INVESTMENTS
Before making Aliyah, speak with a tax expert. This will help you take full advantage of all tax benefits available to new immigrants.
